This pool facility reflects Denver's rich history in railroading and tramways. Spanning the Platte river the facility incorporates a restaurant as well as two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor). The building is divided into four "cars" based on the function of the respective part of the building. The car containing the indoor pool is embedded in the riverbed such that the water flows over it's roof allowing swimmers to view kayaks and wildlife passing overhead through the car's heavily glazed roof.
